Ode to a few with a clue…

By Riss and Caomhin

We just wanted to show the clueless what having a clue looks like, it’s rather impressive.  We want to believe that if more time was given for the people of America to be clued in, there would be more outrage over the now passed Spending Bill.

John Boehner has a clue and it’s kind of raging. Keep it up!

Jim Inhofe unplugged. Thank you for staying true to the principles.

Hats off to the Congressman and Senator.

Thank you for keeping our hope alive!

Feeling Socialist, eh buddy?

by Riss

This entry is going to have two separate points because YES I CAN! I am just being lazy like the members of our Congress and Senate.

State unveils Barack Obama license plate

There is something about this that to me screams Iraq (pre-war) with a creepy similarity to Saddam Hussein’s face being plastered all over the place over there.  Yeah, ok, so proceeds go to the library fund in Illinois, but what’s next? Obama billboards? I think I just threw up in my mouth a little…

Just incase anyone was wondering, President Obama is not Jesus Christ reincarnated.

Does my picture look just as cool as Obama’s?

non-progressive

I think I am going to save (the up to but maybe not) $13 a week I am going to get extra in my pay check, thanks to the Obama Administration and get my own billboard.  Maybe people will think that I am just as cool as Obama and I can spew all sorts of lies to get elected and the only change I will bring to the table is changing my mind, being Nancy Pelosi’s puppet and destroying the country, am I still cool America? Is being a government puppet cool? Just wait America, the best of President Obama’s ch-ch-ch changes are yet to come. You can let me know later how cool you think our country is when we are standing in line next to each other waiting for bread and hoping for some more ch-ch-ch change.  I can’t wait!

“Uh um uh I think answering that question is above my pay grade.” said Obama and you still voted for that! THAT IS SO COOL AND UNBELIEVABLY BRILLIANT.

Did you know that as of 4pm yesterday the final bill was not in the hands of one person on the Hill, yet Congress had already voted for it? DID YOU KNOW THAT?

Did you know that Nancy Pelosi said this…

“Around here language means a lot. Words weigh a ton and one person’s understanding of a spoken description might vary from another’s. We wanted to see it. And not only just I had to see it I had to show it to my colleagues and my caucus. We wanted to take all the time that was necessary to make sure it was right.”

Did you know that the final bill was voted on in less then 24 hours after it’s release and with it being 1,100 pages was impossible to be read? Only over 600 words per minute impossible.

Be proud America that our house and senate majority are Obama’s puppets.  Be proud that our house and senate majority with some select RINO’s (Republican In Name Only) just passed the largest SPENDING BILL IN AMERICA’S HISTORY and be proud that they do not even know what the voted for! Be proud that they chose to be illiterate on our dime.  Be proud that the Spending Bill is filled with political agendas and not one thing that will benefit you as a taxpayer!  Be proud that your best interests WERE NOT kept in mind by the people that we as a country elected.  Be proud when you are standing in the bread line that our national parks are beautiful and clean. Yes, that was in the Spending Bill! Did you know that? Nope, because we didn’t get to see the FINAL BILL. BE PROUD!

In less then 100 days, I can already confidently say, I TOLD YOU SO.  Feeling socialist eh buddy? Be proud of how you voted America, hope and change to America’s destruction, be proud!

We Surround Them

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

We deserve a better America today, not tomorrow…

Liberals Call Sam Malone in from Left Field

Technorati Tags: ,,,

by Caomhin

Remember in Cheers, Ted Danson was the washed up, ex-alcoholic relief pitcher?  Apparently he’s on some show now on FX.  Not only that, but he’s the hand picked spokesperson for liberals to go on TV in front of Congress and push to reinstate the expired moratorium on off-shore drilling.  Now, before I begin to elaborate, let me just say, we already know what Obama is going do.  He’s already cancelled leases on land.

Once again, we see another shining example of liberal logic, another “progressive” so gripped by fear that they think that technology has stood still since the Industrial Revolution began.  That somehow it has never become cleaner, more reliable, and less evasive than in the past.  They argue vehemently that it will take time to see results from drilling off shore.  I’d remind them that it takes time to see results from anything. Taking time to develop and implement, of course, does not mean that it is not worth pursuing.  They say there isn’t enough oil and natural gas to “truly” have an impact on America.  Forward-thinking indeed.  Technology has rapidly improved over time and will continue to do so.  We will need less resources with these vastly improved technologies and accompanying leaps in efficiency.

No one is making the argument that drilling off shore will completely solve our problems.  Once again though we see how truly frightened some on the left are of technology and increased levels of self sufficiency.  Note to the left:  hybrids still need some gas to run, plastics are developed with petroleum, etc.  Why decry the destruction of American manufacturing when they stand in the way of our ability to harvest our natural resources and send the price of development and production skyrocketing, hindering the ability of the manufacturing sector to thrive in the first place?  Drilling on land and off-shore will not solve all of our problems but it will go a long way towards helping us in the long run; strengthening both our economy and our national defense.  Maybe ol’ Sammy and his cohorts are off the wagon again.

Something to Consider

By Caomhin

I really don’t have too much to say on this one, but I just want to provide a link to the “highlights” of Porkfest 2009.  This one selection, in particular you may find quite interesting, sad, or amusing depending on your outlook:

Q: What are some of the tax breaks in the bill?

A: It includes Obama’s signature “Making Work Pay” tax credit for 95 percent of workers, though negotiators agreed to trim the credit to $400 a year instead of $500 — or $800 for married couples, cut from Obama’s original proposal of $1,000. It would begin showing up in most workers’ paychecks in June as an extra $13 a week in take-home pay, falling to about $8 a week next January.

The Coming Conference Committee Nightmare

by Caomhin

Despite the best efforts by those of us responsible enough to actually take the time to read through the bill and understand many of the “hidden” components (hidden those in Congress, who you know, didn’t actually read what they were voting for) that are nothing more than either Liberal Trojan Horses to begin the Federal take-over of healthcare or the out and out lie about their being no earmarks in the “stimulus” bill, they passed it. Now the bill heads to a Conference Committee where such fiscally responsible and rational Congressional leaders such as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid will try to work out a “compromise”, which in liberal speak, amount to “raising the price tag.”  Now, it is already common knowledge that when you include interest costs this particular bill will come to a total cost of $2 trillion dollars to the American taxpayers.

One can only imagine what Pelosi and Reid’s band of tax and spenders can possibly add to this bill that will further burden the American tax payer and hang ever increasing amounts of oppressive debt upon future generations of Americans.  What truly is mind boggling about the whole process is that it truly does appear that very few people are actually reading the bill.  Arlen Specter got caught not doing his home work after he found out about the provision I had linked in the opening paragraph of this article.  Who knows how many more are being hoodwinked by the “politics of hope” that promises total and complete Armageddon that will make Mad Max’s adventures seen like a walk in the park if we do not pass Obama’s Porkfest 2009.  It’s amazing how his “soaring rhetoric” that once sent shivers up Chris Matthews’ leg has so quickly gone from rainbows and butterflies to tales of utter catastrophe…unless we do what he says.

As a matter of fact, to show you just how strong of a command that the new administration has on the economy, Tim Geithner (see: tax cheat) was laughed at today by others in Washington when he admitted he couldn’t even provide a figure.  Some say it’s in the neighborhood of $2 trillion, but rest assured, Obama’s hand picked man, the only man he could conceivably put in this position, will figure out a number sometime soon.  Perhaps the first thirteen digit number he finds on a random numbers table.

For those keeping score, if we add the $2 trillion dollars from the stimulus bill (total cost, including interest) to the new $2 trillion dollars being talked about for TARP Part 2, we’re up to $4 trillion dollars…in Obama’s first two months in office.  Excuse me, almost the first two months.  Really let that sink in for a moment.  Then remind yourself that Pelosi and Reid, as well nearly all of the liberals in Congress, believe that the government is not spending enough with these price tags.  Keep in mind these funds will further choke out private investment in the future and have intangible costs both on our economy and our national psyche.  Entitlements will also continue to swell and that money has to come from somewhere.  Only a fool would think that Obama is only going to raise taxes on the “wealthy,” unless of course, by “wealthy” he means “employed”.”

The 3 Little Turncoats

by Riss

Has anyone actually read the Stimulus Bill? An easy to read version can be found at readthestimulus.org.  Senators Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania have pledged their support of this Bill.  While the Northeast has lost almost all Republican values, these 3 Senators were our only hope for our voices to be heard.  While it is known by most that these 3 Senators are moderate, I am going to throw it out there and state that they are really stupid as well.  This turncoat tactic will give the 60 votes needed for the 827 billion dollar Spending Bill to pass filled with pork, more pork and alot of unnecessary crap.  Complete garbage really, all of which will not stimulate the economy, just overflow it with inflation.

Collins stated in an interview that “she may change her mind if the bill comes back bloated with wasteful spending.” Well, Senator Collins, it’s already filled with wasteful spending. I guess you must be confused. The proposed 40% tax cut may help us Americans, but really, the remaining 60% is still PORK.  So the government is still spending above and beyond what should be spent when America is struggling as a whole.

If the required 60 votes are acquired Monday, the bill will go to vote Tuesday and the Republicans that are not for the bill will not have a shut down debate.  So this Bill is going to pass and may God help us all.

I understand that in politics some people have to be thrown to the wolves, but I am against this bill.  I feel like the voices of us Americans who understand what this Bill represents for our futures are not being heard.  I do not understand what the rush is for the Spending Bill and how the percentage that will actually be released over this next year will actually help anyone.  It’s unfortunate that this Bill is being slammed down our throats, I just wish that more of a fight was put up.  It’s also unfortunate for all of us, that no matter what, this bill was going to pass in some way.  I am so disgusted.  The agenda of the new President is now insanely clear and I urge everyone to brace themselves and to get their Congressman/woman’s phone number on speed dial.  While being heard may not help and while we will probably be shut down by the Obama administration for having rational thoughts, it’s worth a shot regardless and we cannot give up.

If you want to contact the 3 Senators who support the Spending Bill:

Senator Susan Collins (202) 228-5818

Senator Olympia Snow (202) 224-5344

Senator Arlen Specter (202) 224-4254 or Allentown (610) 434-1444

Thank you Senator Collins, Snow and Specter. You are the BEST.  Turncoats.
